Gulf Coast Whispers

By Rebs

Solitude is gratifying in the utmost
No matter where I find myself
Keeping my mind open to wisdom
Talking to the crisp wind
Listening to a truth that runs deep

"I am so hurt inside."

"I have become Time, Time heals all wounds.
I have existed since the dawn of Time,
And I will exist until Time ends."

"I feel so weak."
"Look deep inside of yourself.
You have strength you never knew,
And it will never fail you."

"I am so ugly now."
"Close your eyes and rest.
Let me caress your pale features,
And you will know your beauty."

"I feel so lost right now."
"I know the pages of journeys.
When you thought that you were alone,
And couldn't go on, I carried you."

"I am missing him truly."
"Open your arms out to me.
I have carried his spirit,
And it is yours for now and for always."

Eternal truth exists in every draft
I am comforted in solitude of peace
Taking the wisdom to my heart
Wind knows what we never could
Open my soul to open my eyes

This is so beautifully empowering to read. This is the internal dynamic of someone out of the void... I had a convo recently with someone who said he was a pessimist... And I think he thought optimistic people were intrinsically absent of pessimism. All the same thoughts are there, it's just a matter of which monster you choose to feed. great write

You can't see solitude , touch it , taste it or hear it's silent whispers . But if you open up and let it feel you it will leave it's fingerprints of truth .
