Colors Void

By ShadowsOfFear

Red for hate
Blue for serenity
Green for envy
Pink for love...

One color
One emotion
One person
One thought
One is not enough...

Millions of colors
Millions of feelings
Millions of people
Millions of thoughts...

But what if one person escapes,
Is freed, Is void...
Silence the hate,
Erase the color....
Then what?
What are they?
Cold? Heartless? Empty?

They say light is the presence of color,
In the absence of light, there is darkness...
Personally? I'd rather be dark.
I'd rather be sane, and have control
Than to be filled with light,
And under the illusion of sanity.
I'd rather be me,
And completely free,
Than to live in the lies of color,
and be someone else entirely...

reaching for light is reaching for hope... I'd rather live with the thought of hope than to subsist in the darkness... this is compelling! Kudos! ~worm~
