actual vs professed reality

By KittyStryker

she fancies herself
a princess
cast away from luxury

brings attention
to her ruby lips
and fair skin
as if that
should insure
her privilege

and she sits pretty
for prince charming
for a fairy tale

i say nothing
and let her live
in her fantasy
let her
bite the apple
her script

i find
in glass caskets
are too busy
to throw stones

it's better this way
i think.
